Elena SOROKINA
Invitée par l'association Portes ouvertes sur l'art, elle est intervenue comme commissaire des expositions Déluge, départs, mythes, chants, et autres histoires à la galerie Premier Regard à l'automne 2019.
Née en Russie, Elena Sorokina est diplômée du Whitney Museum of American Art ISP à New York et du Friedrich Wilhelms Universität à Bonn. Elle est commissaire d’exposition et historienne de l’art, basée à Paris. Elle a été directrice artistique à HISK (High Institute of Fine Arts, Belgique) en 2017-2018 et a fait partie de l’équipe curatoriale de la documenta 14, à Athènes et Kassel.
Parmi ses dernières expositions, on peut citer Resistance of Matter, Zhanna Kadyrova, à la Galleria Continua, les Moulins; Psycho-Vertical, à Kunsthalle Bratislava; Mystic Properties, projet artistique d’Art Brussels, Variations on Vulnerability, à BOZAR, Bruxelles; Museum (Science) Fictions, au Centre Pompidou; Forms of Togetherness (and Separation), à WIELS, Bruxelles; Spaces of Exception, un projet spécial pour la Biennale de Moscou; Agnes Varda.
